At least according to TV Guide’s Fan Favorite Awards. NBC’s Chuck (which unbelievably is on the fence once again facing possible cancellation) took home awards for Best Actress (Yvonne Strahovski), Best Couple “Who Have” (Strahovski and Zachary Levi), and Best Villain (Timothy Dalton). As Chuck’s brother-in-law would say, that’s awesome dude! I’ll also give a shout out to Castle‘s Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic who took home the award for Best Couple “Who Should” (yes please!), and the entire cast of The Big Bang Theory who took home awards for Best Comedy.

The Art of Seduction

This week’s Chuck was all about seduction. Super-spy Roan Montgomery (John Larroquette) is caught while trying to seduce his way into a female terrorist’s (Lesley-Ann Brandt) camp, although his charms start to pay off…at least until the rescue team botches the mission, again. Roan’s seduction techniques work even less well for Casey (Adam Baldwin) who tries to seduce a guard and ends up having to use explosives instead. And Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) have their own battle of seduction (hers involves a belly dancer costume, which you can see in the clip) as the fight over their impending wedding. Good times all around.

After a brief winter hiatus Chuck returned with our favorite underachieving geek turned spy looking for the perfect scenario to propose to Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski). The mission to recover the microchip gives us several fun moments including a late twist foreshadowed earlier in a conversation between Sarah and Gen. Beckman (Bonita Friedericy), Sarah pretending to be drunk, and Morgan and Chuck’s (Zachary Levi) homage to The Court Jester as Chuck frantically searches for a “peppery pinot with a stable on the label on the cork.”
