At least according to TV Guide’s Fan Favorite Awards. NBC’s Chuck (which unbelievably is on the fence once again facing possible cancellation) took home awards for Best Actress (Yvonne Strahovski), Best Couple “Who Have” (Strahovski and Zachary Levi), and Best Villain (Timothy Dalton). As Chuck’s brother-in-law would say, that’s awesome dude! I’ll also give a shout out to Castle‘s Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic who took home the award for Best Couple “Who Should” (yes please!), and the entire cast of The Big Bang Theory who took home awards for Best Comedy.

What starts out as a usual homicide for Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) soon grows much more ominous as the pair uncover a terrorist plot and evidence that a dirty bomb is loose somewhere in New York City. Heroes‘ Adrian Pasdar guest-stars an agent from The Department of Homeland Security, who, at least according to Castle is going after the wrong man. Castle and Beckett’s own investigation leaves them suspended, but also leads them to the bomb.

Castle has been teasing us this season with the news of Richard Catle’s (Nathan Fillion) novel getting turned into a feature film. In this week’s episode Eric Forman’s old flame (Laura Prepon) shows up as the actress chosen for the role of Nikki Heat.

I do love this show. “Last Call” involves a 135 year-old bottle of scotch, a rustic tavern, and murder. This isn’t the best episode of the show (oh, it is a darn fine one!), but it does have a little of everything that makes Castle work including some great moments for its two stars to shine such as this scene between Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) before questioning a murder suspect.
