While Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) has gone back to ground, his minions (assassins known as the Longbow Hunters armed with high-tech weapons) rob an A.R.G.U.S. facility of a super-battery. Not willing to leave it to A.R.G.U.S. to find Diaz, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) enlists the help of Curtis (Echo Kellum) and Rene (Rick Gonzalez) to track the missing tech. Diggle (David Ramsey) will get a closer look at Kodiak (Michael Jonsson) and Red Dart (Holly Elissa) when the assassins attack a train in search of a WMD which the battery can power. While protecting the train, Diggle will also get his shot at Diaz, although his choices only further strain a friendship. If Felicity wants helping hunting Diaz, she needs to look in a different direction.

Months after Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) turned himself in, Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) remains at large, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and William (Jack Moore) are in A.R.G.U.S. witness protection, vigilantes are outlawed, and Oliver struggles daily to keep his head down in prison and not make waves. A coordinated attack of Oliver in prison and Diaz finding Felicity and William will wake the hero out of his stupor and reignite his fire to do more than simply bide his time until his release. From the episode it looks like the show may be keeping our hero in jail for more than just an episode or two. However, that doesn’t mean the streets of Star City aren’t protested. A new Green Arrow (with his own list) has shown up to dispense some justice.

Arrow mixes things up a bit in the Sixth Season finale with Oliver (Stephen Amell) leading Team Arrow into battle with the FBI against Diaz (Kirk Acevedo). Although Diaz’s power is broken at the end of the season, the finale doesn’t wrap up the villain’s arc, allowing the crimelord to return and plague Star City next season. As for Oliver, Arrow writers follow The Flash‘s lead by sending the hero to prison (although Oliver is actually guilty of the crimes he’s imprisoned for). That also seems to mean the return of the rest of Team Arrow (which I have very mixed feelings about) to protect the city in the hero’s absence (although I doubt it will last more than a couple of episodes).
