Arrow - Honor Thy Fathers TV review

The reveal of Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) as a serial killer creates all kinds of new trouble in Star City as dozens of criminals prosecuted by Prometheus are set free. Arrow - Dangerous Liaisons / Underneath TV review

The last two episodes of Arrow get down to basics as they deal primarily with the relationship between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). While “Dangerous Liaisons” put Ollie and Felicity on opposite sides as she continues down a dangerous path in helping Helix break out an A.R.G.U.S. prisoner who can help them find Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), “Underneath” traps the pair in the Arrow Cave forcing them to work together and deal with their emotional baggage to make it out alive. Mirroring the tension between the pair is that of Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) as the Green Arrow’s sidekick gets more than one suprise about what his wife has been up to since taking over A.R.G.U.S.

Arrow - Disbanded

Oliver (Stephen Amell) has pushed away family and friends “for their own good” far too often for “Disbanded” to be a stand-out episode of the series. Arrow goes back to that same well again with its latest episode, although their is a twist this time. Rather than forcing others out of his one-man crusade, this time a defeated Green Arrow is attempting to shut down the crusade for everyone. There’s more than a little hubris hear as a shattered Oliver decides if he can’t be Star City’s vigilante none of his team can be either.

Arrow - Kapiushon television review

“Kapiushon” proves to be on of Arrow‘s most brutal episodes. Captured by Prometheus (Josh Segarra), Oliver (Stephen Amell) spends nearly the entire episode being physically and psychologically tortured by a psychopath with an axe to grind. Spending equal times in flashbacks, the episode also show us some of Oliver’s darkest days in Russia with the Bratva and their war against Konstantin Kovar (Dolph Lundgren). While the logic of Chase’s plan is circumspect (does he really want to bring out Oliver’s murderous side, piss him off, and allow a more murderous Green Arrow come after him?), he does eventually score a win over Oliver by forcing him to admit a hard truth about himself.
