The Second Season of Reacher offers the chance for a new mystery for the former military investigator that also ties in with his past allowing the sophomore season of Amazon’s series to explore Jack Reacher‘s (Alan Ritchson) time in the military, and the events which brought it to an end, as well as a current murder when a member of the 110th Special Investigators Unit turns up dead.
The show follows a format of Reacher reaching out to other members of the team, who he’s lost touch with in recent years due to his nomadic lifestyle. As the mystery unfolds, we get teases that one or more of the unit might be dirty, including the victim, which Reacher refuses to believe putting his head down and forcing his way to the truth. Adding a few faces every episode, we then see both the present and past story unfold including the events which led to the end of Reacher’s time in the military.
All eight episodes of the series are collected here. Highlights include the season premiere which kicks things off with a fun Reacher moment before introducing the season arc, the trip to Las Vegas which brings in the character of Dixon (Serinda Swann), the team’s military tactics leading to his run-ins with Detective Russo (Domenick Lombardozzi), the hospital shoot-out and the disbanding of the 110th, and the finale where Reacher and his friends get justice for their fallen soldier and stop both Langston (Robert Patrick) and the notorious terrorist A.M. (Ferdinand Kingsley).
