Wonder Woman #10 concludes the storyline of the Sovereign attempting to break down Wonder Woman without wrapping up the entire arc. Having been unable to beat Diana with hired guns, the United States Army, or weeks of torture, the Sovereign looks to let Wonder Woman’s greatest enemy do their job for them as they drop Wonder Woman off on an island in the middle of nowhere where the only other inhabitant is Cheetah. The result is another great story of Wonder Woman kicking some butt while also showing some heart with the frenemy who knows her as well as anyone else on the planet.
The issue also picks up the thread of the Wonder Girls as Donna, Cassie, and Yara have some misadventures with the Invisible Plane before eventually arriving at the island to free both of its captives. Apparently the next issue is going in an entirely different direction (for some reason) but there’s still plenty of meat left on the bone with this story whenever the comic decides to return to it.
