The five-issue mini-series comes to a close with a battle between the bandits and the bounty hunters. An action-heavy finale offers plenty of action as the rabbit ronin Miyamoto Usagi and Yukichi fight alongside the bounty hunters against the much larger, but not nearly as well trained, horde of bandits.
By the end of the issue Yukichi may have found respect for the skills of Gen and Stray Dog but not how they do business. The issue is notable, however, for an epilogue shown to the reader but not our protagonists in which Stray Dog shows a side of himself that neither Usagi nor Yukichi ever saw. We see that not only has he been using some of his bounty to keep an orphanage running but his connections also allow him to find a new home for Isamu. It just goes to show that there might be more going on with someone than you could ever guess.
