The first issue of a Batman and Scooby-Doo team-up comic to be produced by a different creative team, The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #3 takes Mystery, Inc. to a creepy closed down hotel in Gotham City tied to the Court of Owls where an old frenemy of Daphne throws a party where no one comes except our meddling kids, Bruce Wayne (who is attempting to get the owners to sell the property), and a Talon who crashes the party.
The story has the feel of Scooby-Doo, complete with Scooby and Shaggy gags with the monster of the week and eventual unmasking. However, the comic has an odd look that ultimately feels more like a sticker book, with stickers laid on top of completely separate backgrounds, than recreated cell panels (which I’m guessing was the intent).
