Supreme #2

Supreme Saturday takes us back to the early 90s. Published three years before Kingdom Come, Supreme #2 focuses on Supreme dealing with some unfinished business after his return to Earth (which he doesn’t believe has improved during his absence). Heading straight to the prison to murder the arch-nemesis who killed his friends and family, and still takes delight and pleasure in his actions, Supreme is held at bay by Heavy Mettle.

The second issue of the series shows us a man whose anger has been boiling for decades as well as start to leave some breadcrumbs about Supreme’s decision to leave Earth and journey to the stars (although the character’s complicated history and revisions make it a bit hard to nail down a true timeline for him). We also see that Supreme isn’t above murder when he feels it is warranted (something the comic will build on). The issue delivers some action between Supreme and the heroes and also teases a new extraterrestrial threat in the Katellans who have discover Supreme has returned home.
