Marvel has a hard time deciding what to do with Spider-Gwen. The latest series, rather than jerking her around the multiverse or returning her home, places our heroine in the proper Marvel dimension having been relocated by the Time Variance Authority. Part of that relocation is under the condition that her days as a super-hero are over and she needs to live a life under the radar. Yeah, that’s not happening.
In the first issue we get Gwen stopping a bank robbery and later picking a fight with Kraven the Hunter. We also get a bit of scolding from O.B. about this behavior and several Spider-peeps cameos realizing that Gwen is back in town (another condition of her relocation was not to contact any of them). As it seems that Gwen isn’t giving up the super-hero life anytime soon, the comic will need to explain the reason why the TVA is so insistent she do so (and what the consequences will be if she does not).
