The first issue of Kill All Immortals introduces us to the Asvald family. It turns out there’s more to the family than simply the notoriety of their billions or the whispers of the violence used to procure and keep their wealth. Descended from Erik the Red, the family of Vikings is immortal, bloodthirsty, and very, very dangerous (especially when their secrets are in danger of being exposed).
The least murdery of the group is Frey using her family’s wealth for charity where she can and falling in love with a reporter, neither of which is taken all that well by her siblings. When the pair are attacked, Frey does the obvious in asking for her family’s protection, only to be unpleasantly reminded of just who her family is and see that the danger towards her lover comes from them.
This is a solid first issue highlighting the dangers of the Asvald family, although you do have to wonder how the title will come into play in none of them can be killed.
