The mutant Cobra storyline continues as Serpentor Khan readies stealth fighters with his mutated soldiers who he will drop on Springfield to fight for his version of Cobra. Springfield is also of importance to the Joes who send the entire Ninja Team (hell yeah, give me as much of this group as you fit in every issue) to the city. Interesting to see Scarlett chosen as their leader which chafes Storm Shadow a little. Along with them are also Zartan, the Baroness, and the Dreadnoks, although the attack on the city by the mutated troops may change our heroes’ timeline.
The other piece of the issue follows the team sent to Cobra Island, which also gets Helix into the comic as well (this issue is packed with characters I enjoy, even if most of them are in the other storyline), who gets captured, imprisoned for a short time, and then breaks out to do a little snooping in Dr. Mindbender‘s office making a discovery I’m assuming will be explained in the next couple of months.
