The Battle of the Super-Heroes

  • Title: Batman: The Brave and the Bold – The Battle of the Super-Heroes

After another short intro from the “Secret Files of Batman’s Greatest Cases” featuring King Tut and his armies of mummies which ar thwarted by Batman and Robin wearing mummy costumes (coated in buttermilk because “it’s the one thing that repels pharoh’s rays”)… wait, I have to stop for a second because this, yet again, is another opening that is equal parts awesome and insane. Anywho, the real story gets started when Batman shows in Metropolis on the trail of jewel thieves, only to stay around for a few days and hang out with Superman.

White Collar – Under the Radar

  • Title: White Collar – Under the Radar
  • wiki: link

Since it’s beginning White Collar has delivered strong cliffhangers at every mid-season and season finale. The final episode of Season Two is no exception. True, it might not be as memorable as Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) confronting Kate (Alexandra Daddario), the plane explosion, or Mozzie (Willie Garson) getting shot, but the ramifications of Burke and Neal Caffery’s (Matthew Bomer) blow-up (along with that final moment in the warehouse) look like they could play out for quite awhile.

“Under the Radar” finally puts Neal in front of the man (Andrew McCarthy) responsible for Kate’s death and reveals what he’s been looking for all this time. It also includes two returning guest-star love interests for Neal in the old friend gone missing (Gloria Votsis) and, perhaps, the next woman in Neal’s life (Hilarie Burton).

What starts out as a usual homicide for Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) soon grows much more ominous as the pair uncover a terrorist plot and evidence that a dirty bomb is loose somewhere in New York City. HeroesAdrian Pasdar guest-stars an agent from The Department of Homeland Security, who, at least according to Castle is going after the wrong man. Castle and Beckett’s own investigation leaves them suspended, but also leads them to the bomb.

Take Me or Leave Me

  • Title: Glee – Comeback
  • tv.com: link

There may have been way too much Justin Bieber for my tastes in this week’s episode of Glee, but the message of getting back to basics was a good one for both Sue (Jane Lynch) and Rachel (Lea Michele). We also got more of the Finn (Cory Monteith)/Quinn (Dianna Agron)/Sam (Chord Overstreet) triangle – with a little Santana (Naya Rivera) thrown in for good measure – and more of the odd pairing of Puck (Mark Salling) and Lauren (Ashley Fink). And, I kind of liked Britney’s (Heather Morris) arm-warmers. This week also marked another diva-off between Rachel and Mercedes (Amber Riley) with a very entertaing performance of “Take Me or Leave Me” from Rent which you can watch in this clip.

The Art of Seduction

  • Title: Chuck – Chuck Vs. the Seduction Impossible
  • tv.com: link

This week’s Chuck was all about seduction. Super-spy Roan Montgomery (John Larroquette) is caught while trying to seduce his way into a female terrorist’s (Lesley-Ann Brandt) camp, although his charms start to pay off…at least until the rescue team botches the mission, again. Roan’s seduction techniques work even less well for Casey (Adam Baldwin) who tries to seduce a guard and ends up having to use explosives instead. And Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) have their own battle of seduction (hers involves a belly dancer costume, which you can see in the clip) as the fight over their impending wedding. Good times all around.
