HBO has released the first trailer for the cable channel’s new film based around the relationship between Alfred Hitchcock (Toby Jones) and Tippi Hedren (Sienna Miller) while working on The Birds. Imelda Staunton, Penelope Wilton, Candice D’Arcy, and Sean Cameron Michael also star. The Girl premieres on HBO on October 20th.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the upcoming Fifth Season of The Mentalist will see Patick Jane (Simon Baker) get a big break in his search for Red John, the serial killer responsible for the murder of his wife and daughter, as well as return Emmanuelle Chriqui (as Red John’s disciple Lorelei) for multiple episodes
The Huffington Post is reporting the new season of Arrested Development (set to premiere next Spring on Netflix) has begun shooting and may be extended from 10 episodes to 13 episodes

The BBC has finally released a trailer for the first-half of Series Seven of Doctor Who hitting airwaves later this month. The new season will be broken in half with the Christmas special (introducing Jenna-Louise Coleman as The Doctor’s new companion) in the middle. From the trailer it looks like we’ll be seeing robots, dinosaurs, lots of Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill), Weeping Angels, and the return of Alex Kingston as River Song.
