Director Chalerm Wongpim (Seven Street Fighters, Ta-Kien) presents this flick about a young man (Dan Chupong) after revenge for the death of his parents in this action adventure set in Thailand during the 1920’s.  Leo Putt, Panna Ritthikrai, and Ampon Rattanawong also star.  Check out the official site.  The film, presented in Thai with English subtitles, opens exclusively in Los Angeles on Friday with a limited release in select cities beginning on the 13th.  Larger trailer available in the Full Diagnosis.

Hitchcock Redux is becoming a genre all its own.  Sony announced that they have greenlit a remake the 1927 silent Alfred Hitchcock thriller about a a man suspected of being a serial killer, The Lodger.  Writer/director David Ondaatje (Waiting for Dr. MacGuffin) will write, direct, and produce a new updated film based off the novel by Marie Belloc.  This marks Ondaatje’s feature film debut as a director, but hey, anybody can do Hitchcock nowadays, right?
