The November 9th episode of AEW Collision featured the Death Riders vs. the Conglomeration, the House of Black vs. the Iron Savages, Roderick Strong vs. the Beast Mortos, Jack Perry vs. Action Andretti, Nick Wayne vs. AR Fox, and the Outrunners vs. Top Flight with the winner advancing to the tag team championship four-way at Full Gear.
Highlights:
- With Private Party at ringside, the Outrunners defeated Top Flight to determine which of the two teams would advance to Full Gear. The match was notable for a dust up between Darius and Dante during the match over the safety of Leila Grey potentially teasing a break up for the team at some point in the near future. Later in the night we got an 80s style promo for Outrunners merchandise.
- Given the show’s last 25 minutes, in the main event the Death Riders (formerly BCC) defended the Trios Championship against the Conglomeration. Before the end of the match Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy both came to ringside raising the level of chaos eventually leading to Wheeler Yuta covering Kyle O’Reilly for the pin.
The Death Riders are unrelenting against the Conglomeration!

- At the top of hour 2, Action Andretti challenged Jack Perry for the TNT Championship. Perry wins with the knee in a competitive match that was never in doubt. Given his upset win that started his AEW career, AEW has missed an opportunity to play on an opportunist angle with Andretti allowing him to score a handful of unexpected wins here and there between taking the obvious pins. The match was followed by Daniel Garcia hitting the ring for a promo segment confirming the pair’s match at Full Gear for the TNT Championship. Followed up later with Lexy Nair and Daddy Magic catching up with Danny backstage.
What a THUD as Jack Perry bounced off of the apron!

- Backstage promo for Lio Rush teasing him joining the Hurt Syndicate and challenging Swerve Strickland to a match on Dynamite.
- The House of Black took out the Iron Savages in a trios squash match followed up an in-ring confrontation between the House and FTR demanding to know which two of them they would be facing on Dynamite. All of this was overshadowed later in the night by a pre-taped vignette teasing the return of Julia Hart.
She's back, and she's ready to pierce…

- Playing both the storyline of Roderick Strong attempting to earn 3 wins to get to Full Gear and the Undisputed Kingdom losing the Beast Mortos to LFI, with Strong getting the win over a conflicted Mortos which was immediately followed by Lance Archer taking out Strong (playing off the idea of MJF paying off the Don Callis Family to take out Strong and Adam Cole). Followed up by backstage segment later in the night with Rush firing up Mortos and setting up LFI’s match with the Acclaimed next week.
- Picking up the thread of Nick Wayne‘s beef with AR Fox, now with the roles reversed with Wayne being the heel. Wayne scores the clean pin and celebrates with Mother Wayne and Kip Sabian in the ring and, in another callback, stapling a photo of Fox’s family to his forehead. While it makes sense to dredge up old grudges, this one felt a bit random to include on the show (although the two work well together in the ring).
- Humorous backstage segment with Lexy Nair and MxM Collection building on the team’s new partnership with Johnny TV.
MxM Collection have an update on their DM collab attempt with Jonathan Television…

Less Notable:
- Kris Statlander won a squash match before being jumped by Mercedes Moné.
- The Acclaimed’s backstage promo was (thankfully) interrupted by the Hurt Syndicate again teasing the possibility of Max Caster joining the group.
- Recap of the Dynamite main event.
Misses:
- Following a recap of Mariah May defending the title against Anna Jay, we got a pre-taped promo from the champion calling out the state of the women’s division (not necessarily a great idea as the promo buried the entirety of the women’s division which was only defended by one member) and women’s wrestling in general (almost giving an excuse why AEW isn’t highlighting more women’s action). This was followed by a better response by Anna Jay backstage with Lexy Nair challenging May to a NO DQ Match… but on Dynamite and not Full Gear? Not a great week for the women.
