On their way up the river to find the dino facility, Ben (Sean Giambrone), Kenji (Darren Barnet), Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams), Yaz (Kausar Mohammed), Sammy (Raini Rodriguez), and their new friend Zayna (Anaiya Asomugha) run into trouble first from a hippopotamus and then from a Suchomimus. In the chaos, Yaz gets separated from the group who discover too late she is missing forcing her to stay alive on her own until they return for her creating some of the creepier moments of the season.
Unfortunately, the Brooklyn (Kiersten Kelly) story takes an odd turn with her deciding to work with the Broker (Dichen Lachman) in hopes of finding the proof to expose her. This horrible plan will do nothing to help her friends, nothing to expose the Broker before the end of the season, and ultimately only benefit the Broker who has absolutely no reason to trust Brooklyn and not kill her on the spot. Good plan, Brooklyn.
This point in the season is a turning point as the tension and thrills of the rest of the group stays ramped up throughout, but Brooklyn’s story (artificially creating something else for her to be doing and a reason to remain separate from the rest of the group who will be disappointed when learning what she’s been up to) is a big swing and miss which unfortunately will continue past the end of the season.
