- Title: Citadel: Diana – War

The second episode of Citadel: Diana serves two purposes. First, it cements a secret partnership between Diana (Matilda De Angelis) and Edo (Lorenzo Cervasio) to turn the rival Manticore agencies against each other. The plan bears some early fruit, although Edo’s father continuing to sniff around Diana may eventually cause a problem (even if going with his son’s plan unintentionally saves Diana’s life while the rival Manticore agencies take out most of their other agents). Second, “War” provides flashbacks to Diana’s training from Gabriele (Filippo Nigro) for Citadel explaining her ability to lie and deceive as well as the cause of her medical condition.
Memorable moments include how well Diana plays the rival German agent sending him away with the device with a special surprise for his Manticore overseers and likely seeding their misplaced hate towards France, the shoot-out at Diana’s apartment and her worry racing home for her sister’s life, and the flashback sequences of Diana’s intense (but lowkey) training for Citadel. Other than pitting two Manticore agencies against each other, and recovering the Citadel tech, it’s not yet obvious what Diana’s end game might be but from what we see here the Zanis will continue to be involved.
