- Title: Rick and Morty – Bethic Twinstinct

“Bethic Twinstinct” is her to remind us that Morty (Justin Roiland) is far from the only perv in his family as the time spent together between Beth (Sarah Chalke) and Space Beth (Chalke) turns initiate, freaking out each member of the family one by one until they all become aware what is happening. The humor of the episode comes from the family’s reaction to what they see and here culminating in one hell of an awkward Thanksgiving meal.
While an interesting episode that takes masturbation to an entirely different level, Rick and Morty follow up a two-joke episode with a one-joke episode that relies almost solely on the discomfort of the situation to find its laughs. Thankfully that joke continues to work throughout the runtime leading into Jerry‘s (Chris Parnell) insertion into their relationship. The only other aspect of the episode worth noting is Morty’s sad excuse for an alien game console which is a far cry from interdimensional cable seemingly proving not everything is better on other planets or realities.
