- Title: Pretty Little Liars – I’m a Good Girl, I Am
- wiki: link
Paving the way for next week’s season finale (and promised big reveal), Alison‘s (Sasha Pieterse) comes to a close and the remaining Liars are set to join her in prison (although what they are actually being charged with is unclear). Alison’s guilty verdict isn’t a surprise but her insistence to avoid the truth like the plague (such as explaining the archery trophy which, as bizarre as it seems, was the final nail in her coffin with the jury) when it could have possibly changed the outcome is confounding. Nor does Alison get any help from Mike (Cody Allen Christian) as Aria (Lucy Hale) takes steps to protect her bother leading to Mike, Ezra (Ian Harding), and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) into an ambush by A.
If you’re keeping a scorecard one who is currently on the A-Team based on events in this episode you would have to place both Andrew (Brandon W. Jones) and Linda Tanner (Roma Maffia) on the list. Andrew is obviously the one who attacked Mike, Ezra, and Caleb in the woods and Tanner’s reaction to the events and her growing unwillingness to accept any facts that don’t fit the story crafted by the local police department make her either one of A’s minions or an incompetent cop tired of being jerked around by a bunch of high school girls. Although the later is certainly possible, the way Maffia plays the character’s final two scenes in the episode suggests something more menacing behind her actions.
On the romance front Caleb struggles with Hanna‘s (Ashley Benson) incarceration, Aria’s love life get no less complicated while seeking help from Ezra, and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) finally find their way back to each other, although the scene is overshadowed by Emily‘s (Shay Mitchell) reaction of hearing how Spencer has been stepping out on her boyfriend over the past several weeks. As the show comes to a close A has seemingly beaten the Liars so you have to wonder what secrets may be revealed in the season finale and how they will shape the show’s next season.
I NEED A HULU +
I didn’t really expect them to arrest Aria, Emily & Spencer, especially all at the same time. Even as that montage started with Hanna waiting in her cell and then going to the court for the verdict, I never saw that coming – I guess it was kind of always lurking there, but I never imagined that would happen so fast right there. Really cool montage scene though and I really liked the song they used (never heard of it before, but I guess it’s “Everything Is Lost” by Maggie Eckford, thank God for Tunefind).
