- Title: Star Wars Rebels – Idiot’s Array

“Idiot’s Array” reintroduces a fan favorite to the show with Billy Dee Williams reprising his role as a younger, but no less suave, Lando Calrissian. Winning the Ghost‘s astromech droid Chopper in a game of Sabaac with Zeb (Steve Blum), the scoundrel hires the crew for a job that gets Hera (Vanessa Marshall) temporarily sold into slavery, the Ghost shot at by an Imperial blockade, and introduces a cute but annoyingly expanding Puffer Pig that causes all kinds of chaos once Zeb and Ezra (Taylor Gray) let it out of its cage.
Not surprisingly, Lando’s various double-crosses lead to a shoot-out before all is said and done, but the crew leaves the scoundrel with the job completed and on good terms suggesting we haven’t seen the last of Calrissian. Although Ezra isn’t given the opportunity to light up his new lightsaber, we do witness an added feature to the weapon which, due to its unusual design, doubles as a blaster. “Idiot’s Array,” which is enjoyable simply for Lando’s appearance, also offers a nice break from Ezra’s Jedi storyline which had been the focus for many of the previous episodes.
