Now fully reunited, the rescue party turns on Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) after Neal (Michael Raymond-James) fills them in on the prophecy and what he believes are his father’s true motives concerning Henry (Jared Gilmore). The group comes to a temporary agreement in which Rumpelstiltskin agrees to turn over the Pandora’s Box and not use any magic until Henry is safe, but by the time they reach the Lost Boys camp both Peter Pan and Henry are gone. Making matters worse, Wendy Darling (Freya Tingley) lets the group in on Pan’s plan to steal Henry’s heart to achieve immortality.
Splitting up, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Neal, Rumpelstiltskin, and Regina (Lana Parrilla) make their way to Skull Rock to save Henry while the others make preparations for their departure including gathering more of the spring’s healing water which Rumpelstiltskin believes he can use to create an elixir which will allow Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) to leave the island.
Flashbacks from this episode involve Rumpelstiltskin’s troubled childhood with his untrustworthy father (Stephen Lord) and their trip to Neverland where his father gives up his son (Wyatt Oleff) to regain his youth and become the most powerful young man in Neverland – Peter Pan. With the others unable to break through Pan’s magic barrier, Rumpelstiltskin faces his father alone. By the time the rest of the group reaches Henry it’s too late to save either Rumpelstiltskin (who is trapped in Pandora’s Box) or Henry (who willingly gives his heart believing he is saving magic). With Henry near death, their most powerful member trapped, and Pan apparently immortal, the group will have to pull out all the stops to complete their mission and leave Neverland alive.
