- Title: Beauty and the Beast – Destined

Beauty and the Beast closes out its Third Season with the conclusion of the Liam (Jason “Iron Eagle” Gedrick) storyline. With their adversary continuing to put pressure on each member of the group by manipulating the government to take a closer look at the unsolved murders which Vincent (Jay Ryan) played a major role (by, you know, killing them all), Vincent chooses to come clean about everything to the FBI in a last ditch effort to save his friends and take down Liam. And if in doing so he admits to, and gets away with, multiple murders to keep the show going another season that’s just a bonus (wait, so the government knows he’s a murdering super-human with anger issues and doesn’t have a problem with this?).
The finale is a disappointment in almost every respect with the exception of a nice nod to the original television series in a reveal of Liam’s underground lair deep under New York City. After spending weeks building up Liam as an unbeatable foe who has outsmarted the heroes at every turn, the season stumbles to a finish as apparently all Vincent needed to do in order to stop the uber-Beast’s killing spree was to sneak-up on him from behind. Go figure. The episode ends with the Federal Government sweeping the truth about Vincent under the rug, giving the doctor and his friends their lives back, and basically resetting the entire show back to its status quo. Well, there is a wedding to be had as Vincent and Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) celebrate with a small informal ceremony with friends and family.
