- Title: Arrow – Dark Waters

Following the cross-over with The Flash, Arrow closes the first-half of its Fourth Season by turning its attention back on Oliver Queen‘s (Stephen Amell) mayoral campaign and his battle with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). His choice to out Darhk as the leader of the Ghosts to the Star City press has consequences not for Oliver but for his loved ones as Darhk’s men kidnap both Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Thea (Willa Holland). It will be all-hands on deck to get them back, including having Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) clad in Green Arrow’s costume while Oliver attempts to trade himself for his loved ones.
The mid-season finale has several subplots going on in the background as Diggle (David Ramsey) struggles to get answers from his brother, Felicity discovers both her mother’s relationship with Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and an engagement ring Oliver had bought for Felicity but chosen not to give her. The episode ends with a proposal and twist suggesting whose gravestone Oliver was speaking to earlier in the season. Given the show’s history and reliance on the character, I’m not buying Felicity’s death just yet (although faking her demise certainly would help Oliver keep her safe as his battle with Darhk continues).
