Taking place on the ocean floor, Green Arrow #10 sends Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Diggle aboard the maiden voyage of the Trans-Pacific Railway known as the Empire Express where they find evidence of drug smuggling and murder.
Stowed away aboard the train, the trio work to find the Ninth Circle assassin before he can complete his assignment. Too late to prevent the murder, our heroes also have to deal with an entire train full of passengers and armed guards who wrongly assumed the colorfully-clad vigilantes are the assassins.
Although awkward in parts (like just how exactly did Dinah manage to brand the expensive cocktail dress in a handful of minutes?), there’s definitely some fun to be had here in the heroes’ struggle to board the train and their search for the assassin. The unique locale certain gives the issue an interesting slant, especially now that Ollie, Dinah, and Diggle are trapped aboard with angry passengers, guards, and an escaped assassin, without any way to escape. Worth a look.
