Catwoman‘s investigation into the impostor responsible for burglary and murder, tarnishing our protagonist’s already bruised name, leads her to a warehouse full of fakes and more questions. Quickly dispatching the women, who turn out mostly to be unemployed actresses, Selena is left with a single breadcrumb to trail back to the man who hired them (but still no clue, as yet, as to why).
What we do learn here is that the Governor Creel’s wife Raina wasn’t expecting one of her frauds to commit murder. What she did want, other than drawing Catwoman out of seclusion, however, still remains a mystery.
There’s a bit of action here as Selena dispatches the various impostors in mostly a page, more of Selina failing to find a good night’s sleep, a sequence involving her supplier stocking her with new gadgets (the humor here sadly is nearly as groan-worthy as the items), and Selena deciding to go straight to the source to find out just who wants Catwoman, and why. For fans.
